Class-1000 Cleanroom Coating for Semiconductor-Grade Films

Class-1000 Cleanroom Coating for Semiconductor-Grade Films

For semiconductor-grade films, particle control is not a final inspection step — it is the production environment itself. A single particle sealed under a coating layer becomes a permanent defect in every die-cut part made from that area of the roll. ORISUN's answer is to coat where particles cannot win: class-1000 cleanroom workshops, with class-100 zones for the most critical processes.

The cleanroom extends from adhesive formulation to slitting and packing. Adhesive components are prepared and filtered in controlled areas; coating heads, tension zones and drying ovens are enclosed; finished rolls are slit, inspected and packed without ever leaving the controlled environment. Material handling follows the same discipline — rolls travel in sealed wrapping, and operators work to cleanroom gowning procedures.

Why does this matter for semiconductor applications? Processes such as wafer dicing tape, CMP protective film and precision optical lamination tolerate extremely low defect densities. At those tolerances, the classical coating defects — crystal points, gel particles, airborne contamination — dominate the yield loss. Controlling the environment is the only way to push defect density below the level the application requires.

Environment is necessary but not sufficient. Inside the cleanroom, our lines run the same disciplines found in semiconductor fabs themselves: Dr. Schenck inline inspection to catch defect signatures in real time, parameter archives for every roll, and pilot-line validation before mass production. The combination — clean environment, tight process control, verified by data — is what makes a film semiconductor-grade rather than merely clean-looking.

If your application demands controlled-environment coating, audit the workshop, not the brochure. We welcome customer cleanroom audits and will walk your team through the coating, inspection and packing areas that would produce your material.
