Dr. Schenck Inline Inspection Guards Every Roll

In precision coating, the most expensive defect is the one discovered by your customer. A crystal point, a scratch or a stain that survives into a die-cut part can scrap an entire production batch downstream. ORISUN addresses this at the source: every key coating line is equipped with German Dr. Schenck inline defect inspection systems that watch the web as it runs.
The system scans the moving film in real time and classifies surface defects — crystal points, black spots, scratches, stains and coating streaks — while the material is still on the machine. Defects are mapped to their exact position on the roll, and the inspection record travels with each roll through our MES, so traceability is complete from formulation to shipment.
Inline inspection changes the economics of quality. Instead of relying on end-of-line sampling, which can only estimate defect rates, our operators see defects the moment they appear and correct the cause immediately — a dirty doctor blade, a temperature drift in the drying oven, or tension instability. The defect is removed from the process rather than from the product.
For customers in electronics, display and semiconductor applications, this matters twice over. First, incoming quality is predictable: the inspection report attached to each roll lets your IQC team verify our data instead of re-inspecting everything. Second, the same data feeds continuous improvement — recurring defect signatures are analyzed and eliminated at the process level.
Quality is not a final checkpoint at ORISUN; it is built into the line. Dr. Schenck inline inspection is one of the systems that makes that statement true, roll after roll.
